In an effort to improve production technology, Ralco Nutrition, Inc., and Advanced Birthright Nutrition®, have developed advanced approaches to raising baby pigs. In 1994, Ralco's Advanced Birthright Nutrition® Baby Pig Milk Replacer was released to the industry, and with key benefits quickly began to revolutionize the way baby pigs are raised in the farrowing house. With an inline milk system, baby pigs were raised on supplemental milk alongside the sow. The results have been profound. Mortality has consistently dropped 20% to 50% at weaning, average weights at weaning have increased one to two pounds, and profits per litter have increased dramatically. This technology has evolved into specific strategies for specific operations. Birthright Deck™
Advanced Birthright Nutrition® Birthright Deck™ has been researched and proven to raise pigs independently and successfully. The profitable impact of a designated center to raise and turn the bottom percentile of live-born litters into marketable pigs is paramount. After three years of research and development, the Birthright Deck™ was released. Due to the strict requirements essential to the success of this technology, it must be implemented under the guidelines in which it has been proven. Staff, training, and support are key to its implementation. The quality of milk and the precision of the system must be packaged together to ensure quality control. The result of the Birthright Deck™ is more marketable pigs, and a profit center that has been unavailable to producers.
